Frequently Asked Questions

1. What exactly does QA Sage do?

QA Sage is a QA-as-a-Service consultancy. We build, fix, and scale automation frameworks, CI/CD test pipelines, and quality strategies — and we offer ongoing QA leadership through retainer models. We also develop AI-powered test generation tools that integrate directly into your stack.

2. What types of companies do you work with?

We typically work with:

  • Startups with no QA team yet

  • Engineering orgs experiencing quality issues (e.g., production bugs, flaky tests)

  • CTOs and VPs who want scalable automation without hiring a large team

  • Product-focused teams who want to shift-left but don’t know where to start

3. How do you work with clients?

We offer three engagement models:

  1. Project-based (Greenfield or Rescue)

  2. Monthly Retainer (QAaaS)

  3. A la Carte Test Development or Consulting

Every engagement starts with a free discovery call. Then we send over a scope (SOW), align on goals, and begin execution — fast.

4. What are your prices?

Our pricing varies by engagement type:

  • Greenfield (full build): Email for price

  • Rescue (fix + scale): Email for price

  • Retainer QAaaS: Email for price

  • AI Test Suite Development: Email for price

  • Consulting: Email for price

  • A la Carte Tests: Per test, Email for Price

We’re upfront and transparent — you’ll always know what you’re getting and why. We prepare a custom pricing sheet for each project/client.

5. What is included in a “Greenfield” engagement?

  • Full QA strategy & tooling recommendation

  • Custom test automation framework (your language/tool of choice)

  • CI/CD integration

  • Core coverage setup: unit, API, UI, E2E

  • Documentation + onboarding sessions

  • Optional retainer to continue growth

6. What if we already have automation, but it’s broken or unreliable?

That’s what our Rescue package is for. We perform a full QA audit, identify root causes (e.g., flaky tests, bad architecture, CI issues), and rebuild or refactor what’s broken.

You’ll walk away with a stable test suite, optimized workflows, and coverage that actually prevents bugs.

7. What do you include in a QA Retainer (QAaaS)?

  • Ongoing test automation and test writing

  • Weekly syncs, reporting, and advisory

  • Bug triage and test flakiness resolution

  • Quarterly test strategy reviews

  • Slack/email support

  • Access to both QA leadership (Moses) and automation/AI (Gary)

8. What kind of AI services do you offer?

We build custom AI tools that:

  • Generate unit, integration, and E2E tests using your codebase and schema

  • Analyze test coverage and identify gaps

  • Detect flake patterns and test prioritization opportunities

We can build POCs or full custom integrations.

9. How long do your projects take?

Typical timelines:

  • Greenfield: 3–5 weeks

  • Rescue: 2–4 weeks

  • Retainer: Ongoing monthly

  • A la Carte Tests: 24–72 hour turnaround

  • AI Tooling: 2–6 weeks depending on scope

We’re fast because we’re experienced — and we don’t waste cycles.

10. What tools and languages do you work with?

We’re tech-agnostic. We’ve worked with:

  • Languages: JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, Java, C#, etc.

  • Tools: Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, WebdriverIO, Postman, Pytest, Mocha, JUnit

  • CI/CD: GitHub Actions, CircleCI, Jenkins, Azure Pipelines

  • AI: Langchain, OpenAI API, custom Python tooling

If you have something niche — we can probably still support it.

11. Can you help us hire or restructure our QA team?

Absolutely. We offer QA org design, hiring pipeline strategy, leadership training, morale diagnostics, and test ownership planning. Moses has built and led global QA teams from the ground up and can advise hands-on or behind the scenes.

12. Do you offer white-label services?

Yes — if you're an agency or consultancy and want to bring us in quietly as your QA arm, we’re open to white-label or partner agreements.

13. How do we get started?

Easy:

  1. Fill out our calendly links (they’re everywhere on our site) or email us directly (info@qasage.com)

  2. We’ll schedule a 15–30 min discovery call

  3. You’ll get a clear scope, timeline, and price — no fluff

  4. Work begins in days, not months
